Why upgrade to lift slide from standard sliding doors?
Lift slide allows larger openings with fewer panels than standard sliders. Architects love its flexibility of design for window walls, pocket doors, curved walls, and corner applications. Lift slide maximizes views and brings the outdoors in for applications such as residential and resort patios, balconies, restaurants, museums, and many more. Lift slide has lower air and water infiltration than other sliding door options and helps manufacturers meet Hurricane Test Standards. Because the panels are lifted while they slide, the weather-seal does not wear out from friction. For access and ventilation, panels can lock open at any position. LEED credits can be earned under Indoor Environmental Quality for natural ventilation, daylight and views.

FFI has designed lift slide system improvements which are contract-manufactured exclusively for FFI and available nowhere else:
- Stainless steel for main moving parts, in choice of two grades (304 or 439).
- Pocket doors are easy; FFI lock is prepped to accept FFI edge-pull.
- Durable locks with SST drive rod & case also have Kynar-coated face.
- Taller one-piece lock for up to 8'8" tall doors.
- Stronger extensions with secure bolt-in rod, for up to 14' tall doors.
- Lower cost half-gears and 10-pack gears provide approximately 20% savings in multi-panel systems.
- Higher grade carriages with 304-grade main parts & SST ball bearings.
- Aesthetic details include cover pieces to conceal gaps.
Door Applications
- For wood, aluminum/wood, all metal, or Pvc panels — any panel material.
- Large sliding doors up to 880 lbs. and 14 feet tall each panel.
- For 2-1/4" (56mm) or 2-3/4" (68mm) door thickness.

FFI lift slide door handles & pulls
- LS300 Sierra and LS100 Classic brass handles with several finish options.
- LS200 Ottawa stainless steel handles.
- Versions: removable, fixed, cylinder, and double handles.
- Long or short pulls to match the handles; also pulls in shallow version for 1-3/8" screens.
- 5-year warranty for mechanical defects; 1-year finish warranty for satin nickel, painted dark bronze.

SST Lift Slide Window systems
- FFI's lift slide window hardware (model 170DL) is scaled down in size and cost.
- Uses same window handles as for tilt turn and casement window multipoint locks.
- Capacity of 330 lbs. (150kg) per panel, and suitable for 1-3/4" window sashes.
- FFI also has a larger window gear for lift slide handles (model 170SH) in two handle heights.

- Warranty for locks and carriages against manufacturing defects: 15-years.
- Warranty against corrosion failure within 5 miles of seacoastis: 15-years for 304-grade SST, 2-years for 439-grade SST system.
- Cycle-testing of locks and carriages to 100,000 cycles.
- Salt-spray testing to ASTM B-117 standards for 3,000 hours.
